INTERNATIONAL BOARDING SCHOOL OF SWEDEN
At Grennaskolan you can choose between two national programmes; Business Management and Economics Programme (EK) and Social Science Programme (SA). We also have the IB Diploma Programme (International Baccalaureate) which is an international programme entirely taught in English. Grennaskolan provides everything that is needed to lay a good foundation for the future - from safe and secure student residences in a small-town idyll, to first-class teaching in an international environment and an abundance of different recreational activities.

From the start, it has been important that the school be characterised by an open, welcoming and free climate, with its activities being a well-integrated part of a small-town idyll.
"Grennaskolan, the school that wants to be different" was the message when the school was founded, and the key words were small scale, international focus and a family atmosphere. This is still the hallmark of Grennaskolan.
The boarding school has a mix of Swedish students from abroad, international and local students. You are included, regardless of your background.
Grennaskolan is a Swedish boarding school situated in Gränna, a unique beautiful small town in the middle of southern part of Sweden - known for entrepreneurship, peppermint rock and hot-air balloons. The town was founded by Count Per Brahe in 1652.
Stockholm University, which started Grennaskolan 1963, saw many benefits with Gränna as a place for an international boarding school. The school's longest corridor is said to be Bergsgatan, an historical street where beautiful private homes, a museum and a library are blended with classrooms, dormitories, dining room and old gardens.
Apple trees and climbing plants frame the buildings and decorate the neighbourhood with colour during all seasons. The Gränna Mount acts as a backdrop to the school, from where visitors can enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Vättern. It is a clean and healthy environment without exhaust fumes and large-city stress, with fantastic countryside close by. Stable owner of the school is the municipality of Jönköping, one of the biggest municipalities in Sweden.
The school welcomes expatriate Swedish students along with local and international students. Grennaskolan creates an interesting and international environment with a strong local affiliation where everyone is included irrespective of their background.
The students' language skills develop every day – not least through their circle of friends. All adults at the school have an overall responsibility for the students' well-being.
