Vulkanen, with rooms for 25 students, is situated in the south part of  the area of Grennaskolan and it is surrounded by a lovely garden. The house was built in 1830 and had two storeys. Originally it was a tannery. But in the beginning of the 20´th century another flat was added and the house was turned into a residential house. Since 1963 it has functioned as a dormitory for Grennaskolan.

 

Vulkanen is a sporting dorm, where all students take part in the sporting events arranged, especially the tournaments between the different dorms. To the gym we usually go together.

 

Vulkanen has for many years been responsible for the winter football. Once a week we meet on the football pitch and play, no matter what the weather is like. Students from other dorms are welcome to take part. Being together and doing things together is important for us.
